Ride to City Planning Open House!

  • Ponderosa Cyclery + Tour 3901 Leavenworth Street Omaha, NE, 68105 United States (map)

[Can’t make it to the Open House—or are you maybe just really fired up about brainstorming your dream infrastructure? Set aside a little time, and take this questionnaire! (<—-that’s a link)]

The City of Omaha’s Planning Department says they want input for creating an infrastructure Master Plan for “people-powered forms of transportation,” so we’re organizing a ride to the Nov. 10th Open House on the UNO campus to share our thoughts and opinions, and encourage as many other folks as possible to do so, as well!

We’ll be closing early and riding from the shop, leaving by 5pm and taking either the Field Club/Keystone or side streets to get to campus. (It’ll be dark, so don’t forget lights!) Looking at heading to Pageturners Lounge afterward. It will be fun!

Per the website: “The City of Omaha is currently working on an effort to create an Active Mobility Master Plan. Active mobility includes people-powered forms of transportation such as walking, bicycling, scooter riding, skateboarding, wheelchair rolling, etc.”
