Hey-o, we're gonna try to sneak one more overnighter in before the weather breaks into full out gnarly-ness. Emphasis on, try to. We might get weathered-on, still. Anyways, little different this go-around, as it'll be a Saturday/Sunday trip. That way, you normal folks have the opportunity to join in (our previous trips were Sunday/Monday). It'll be a small group regardless. We'll leave the shop around 12p and hope to make it to Louisville State Rec Area (on the Platte) by 3:30-4p. We'll setup camp and, if folks are into it, head to Heron Bay for dinner and hangs; patio if it's nice. It's just a mile from camp, has a Zomato score of 3.6/5, and overlooks the beautiful Platte River. Smores and stuff back at camp. Breakfast in the am, then pedaling back to Omaha for a mid-afternoon arrival. Route will be mostly trail, linking three of the areas systems; Keystone, West Papio, and Mopac. Less 35 meandering miles. Some gravel. Many fun. Temps will be in the mid-50s during the day, mid-30s overnight. Bring the necessary things to not make you a grump during those conditions. Probs a snowsuit and dynamo-powered, handlebar mounted space heater for me. But that's me. Oh, lights! Bring lights! We'll lose the sun around 5p, so pedaling to and from Heron Bay will be in the dark. Bring enough US dollars for the bar and campsite. Swimming is free. RSVP here if you're planning to go. Holler at the duck phone or email stuff@ponderosacyclery.com if ya have questions. Uh... here's the route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/17255544
